This Network is for anyone affected by job loss. That means friends, family, those who are just trying to be prepared, etc., as well as anyone who has already lost their job.

All you have to do is click "POST HERE" (at the top of the page,) and you will see your email screen. The email address will already be in place. NO EMAIL CONTACT INFORMATION WILL BE INCLUDED ON YOUR POST (unless you put it in the body of your email intentionally -- not recommended.)

Your entry will be displayed "instantly."

  1. I have been out of work for a year and 5 months and I live in terror of not being able you keep my apartment, finding work, and not being homeless. I was part of the unemployment checks that were stopped with very short notice. I have borrowed from everyone I can think of. I find that I am getting depressed more and more each day. I try to hold on to the hope that things will get better but has not. I just don't know what to do. I have been applying for different jobs but no luck. I get an interview every now and then but (nothing). I really get frighten at the end of the month when rent is due as I rent from a landlord who has no understanding of how even (able bodied) people can be struggling and can't find work. I am now at wit's end.

  2. My entire team was axed a week ago as part of a "business decision". I was told that the company was losing money and cuts had to be made. Ok, I'm an adult, I know it's all about the bottom line. However, it's tough to get email from the sole survivor asking for help to do what was your job. Part of me says let them figure it out; but, another part wants to help and just move on. I know the latter is the better anger, but it sure is hard. I'll come around and do the right thing - in a few.

  3. I actually was laid off a couple of years ago from a major car rental company. I attempted to find a position for several months and decided to complete my bachelor's degree (I already had an associates). I finally graduated mid-June and have been applying everywhere. I have over 15 years of experience and a degree now but I am not receiving too many calls for interviews. I am a widow and afraid of not finding a job to support my children.
